DesignFest 2021 is dedicated to movie custom designers, Grimmors and movie poster designers.

Description

DesignFest is an international film festival devoted to the creation of a film desigens by the designers. Their profession, so important to the film work but underestimated for many years, has found its place at DesignFest .

Once a year great artists meet here with the novice filmmakers who learn from their experience.

The Festival aim is to be a forum for presentations of the most outstanding achievements in the field of the art of designing and for a discussion about its present and future condition.

Final results of selection will be announced by email and on website by 6th July and winner will receive their notification before award ceremony that will be hybrid

Awards

Golden cloth, Silver Cloth, Bronze Cloth (Main Competition for cloth designing);

Golden Brush ( main Competition for Grimmor and makeup artists and poster designers);

Rules

Only films produced after January 1st 2019 will be taken into consideration for the selection process.

The fesival wont cover the costs of travel, accomodation . It’s an online competition with physical ceremony awards night.

MAIN COMPETITION

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: narrative feature films over 60 minutes // produced in 2019 and 2020
DEADLINE AND FEES: 26th June 2021 (no fee)
AWARDS: GRAND PRIX – Golden Cloth // Golden Brush Golden palace // Silver Brush Silver Cloth silver palace (presented to custom designer and makeup artists, set designer)
ABOUT: Main Competition has been to present the narrative feature films where the design significantly contributes to a story. The visual value of these films results from the cooperation between a director and a designer and the unusual sensitivity of the author of a film designs. The competition emphasizes the enormous contribution of the designer to the film work.

STUDENT ETUDES COMPETITION

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: short narrative films not exceeding 35 minutes // produced in 2019 and 2020 // a student status of the designer and director of an etude during its production and postproduction is required
DEADLINE: same as main

AWARDS: Bronze Brush / cloth / palace (presented to designers)
ABOUT: Student Etudes Competition supports the development of novice filmmakers and provides an opportunity to confront the achievements of students from various parts of the world. Several dozen film schools from all over the world submit their best etudes.

Competition ceremony will hold hybrid. 15 July 2021
