Collège européen des traducteurs littéraires de Seneffe
The CTLS aims at receiving in residence literary translators from all over the world, organising meetings between translators and their authors, organising presentations of Belgian authors, readings and performances of Belgian theater scriptwriters.
For the residency, priority is given to foreign translators of French-speaking Belgian authors. However, the College hosts also other language combinations, given that French is the source or the target language.
The Seneffe college has 17 private rooms (with private bathroom), a large library (accessible day and night) with numerous books by French-speaking Belgian authors, dictionnaries and manuals, a TV room, a large seminar room and a dining room.
Accommodation and subsistence (3 meals/day). The translators having a contract to translate a French-speaking Belgian author receive also a per diem.
Travel costs to Seneffe. If you wish to come with a guest, you will have to cover your full board.
Note: the College is only open during the Easter holidays (15 days, Belgian dates), the Christmas holidays and in the summer months (July+August).
