با شدت گرفتن شیوع ویروس کرونا در بیش تر کشورهای دنیا، شرایط وضعیت برگزاری جشنواره های فیلم و بازارهای فیلم هم پیچیده تر شده است.
وضعیت برگزاری جشنواره های فیلم مهم کشور هند نامشخص است.
و برگزاری جشنواره فیلم هند در گوا که از آبان به دی ماه به تعویق افتاده بود، قطعی نیست.
و همینطور جشنواره مهم دیگر هندی مانند چنای، کرالا، کلکته، بنگلور و پونا هم نامشخص است.
جشنواره های فیلم های ایرانی در بوستون، واشنگتن دی سی و هیوستون آن لاین شده وکمتر پخش کننده بین المللی ایرانی جرات نمایش فیلم های جدید را در این رویدادها دارد.
جشنواره فیلم های ایرانی پراگ و شیکاگو گویا برگزار نخواهند شد.
جشنواره گوتبورگ آن لاین و جشنواره آسیایی وزول هم لغو شد.
وضعیت جشنواره رتردام نامشخص است و شاید بخشی را در بهمن و بخشی را در خرداد ماه برگزار کند.
جشنواره برلین هم بازار خود را ان لاین برگزار و فیلم ها را در خرداد نمایش خواهد داد.
شماری دیگر جشنواره ها تاریخ برگزاری خود را اعلام کرده و امید دارند که رویدادشان را به صورت حضوری برگزار کنند مانند هنگ کنگ، استانبول، هات داکس، کن، ترانسیلوانیا، کراکو، سیدنی، ترایبکا، ادینبورگ، کارلووی واری، لوکارنو، ملبورن…
